Generation of Reactivity from Typically Stable Ligands: CC Bond-Forming Reductive Elimination from Aryl Palladium(II) Complexes of Malonate Anions — Joanna P. Wolkowski (2002) | RDL Network
Steric hindrance of the ancillary phosphane ligand triggers reductive elimination from aryl palladium complexes of typically unreactive ligands derived from 1,3-dicarbonyl anions [Eq. (1); FcPtBu2=di-tert-butylphosphanylferrocene]. This reaction is the product-forming step of the recently developed palladium-catalyzed malonate arylations.
