Gecko has been caught much attention due to its smart adhesion, which is achieved by its hierarchical attachment system beginning with the nano scale spatulas as the minimal cascade. Here we show that the end of a nanofiber has a similar adhesion property, which can explain how a nanofiber membrane or a nanofiber yarn can be formed during the electrospinning. This paper uses a two-point electrode system as a receptor to collect nanofibers, and a nanofiber yarn is obtained, the geometrical potential is adopted to explain the phenomenon.
