Abstract : A radar model for ground reflection multipath is described. The use of frequency agility in an environment where pointing errors are caused by multipath is demonstrated. The radar target is a collection of ellipsoids designed to approximate the surface of an aircraft. A statistically rough surface with a large and small roughness scale is used to model the terrain around the antenna. It is shown that frequency agility can be used to obtain uncorrelated errors at the different transmit frequencies. (Author)
