Abstract
1 min readThis chapter analyzes deflection behavior of sinusoidally corrugated functionally graded composite panels. Material properties of functionally graded panels are examined using Voigt's model via power-law distribution. The panel is subjected to uniform and sinusoidal load. Displacement field is based on higher-order shear deformation theory having nine degrees-of-freedom. The governing equations are obtained by using a variational principle. The proposed model is validated with the available literature to show its efficacy. The significance of various parameters such as power-law index, side-to-thickness ratio, wave height, support conditions, and aspect ratio on the bending behavior of sinusoidally corrugated functionally graded panel are exemplified through numerical illustrations.
