The results of a wideband measurement campaign aimed at investigating the diffuse scattering characteristics of rough materials at 40-50 GHz are shown in this paper. Scattering coefficients are derived based on the Fresnel formula theory and Gaussian rough surface model. The results indicate that the calculated coefficients agree well with the measured data, and the backscattering phenomena and the Fabry-Pérot resonance characteristic are obvious.
