The intermediate state between single pulsing and oscillating cascades of a straight channel electron multiplier operated in ion feedback conditions is studied. The observation of the transient waveforms produced by a large number of superposed pulses of the same height is reported and their behavior is analyzed with the help of an RC equivalent circuit model.
