S 3 N 3 O 2 Cl (2) can be isolated as a decomposition product of S 3 N 3 O 2 Cl 2 (1) in methylene chloride. Crystals of 2 are monoclinic, space group C2/c, with a - 1729.0(9), b = 670.7(4), c = 1201.4(7) pm, ft = 114.05(3)°. The structure was refined to R = 0.035 for 722 diffractometer data. 2 is the first compound containing a S 3 N 3 -ring with three differently coordinated sulfur atoms.
