Current Harmonics Cancellation in Three-Phase Four-Wire Systems by Using a Four-Branch Star Filtering Topology

Abstract
1 min read
This paper presents a new solution for filtering current \nharmonics in three-phase four-wire networks. The original \nfour-branch star (FBS) filter topology presented in this paper is \ncharacterized by a particular layout of single-phase inductances \nand capacitors, without using any transformer or special electromagnetic \ndevice. Via this layout, a power filter, with two different \nand simultaneous resonance frequencies and sequences, is \nachieved—one frequency for positive-/negative-sequence and another \none for zero-sequence components.
