The Cover Feature shows UiO-66 and its different roles in catalysis, either as acid, basic, or bifunctional catalyst or as support. In their Review, A. Dhakshinamoorthy et al. describe that UiO-66 has become one of the most widely used metal-organic frameworks in heterogeneous catalysis as a result of its remarkable stability under solvothermal conditions. Furthermore, current understanding on the synthesis of this material using modulators has also allowed a considerable control on the crystallinity of this material and on the incorporation of structural defects. The present Review covers the use of UiO-66 as solid catalyst to promote organic reactions in the liquid phase, classified according to the role of UiO-66 as active component or as support of nanoparticles embedded within the internal pores. More information can be found in the Review by A. Dhakshinamoorthy et al. on page 899 in Issue 3, 2019 (DOI: 10.1002/cctc.201801452).
