Corrosion tresistance of EP-823 (16Kh12MVSFBR) alloy as a prospective construction material in reprocessing spent nitride nuclear fuels was considered. Corrosion rates of EP-823 steel in a number of fused salt systems at 500 and 650 °C were determined. Changes in the material's structure due to hight temperature influence, and type of corrosion destruction were established. Composition of the corrosuion products in the molten salts was determined on the basis of chemical analysis and corrosion resistance of EP-823 steel in the melts with and without iranium ions prtesent was compared.
