ACECR (Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research)-Sharif Branch in cooperation with IDRO (Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran) has devoted extensive efforts in Design and Implementation of Vehicular Intelligent Transportation System Project aiming to improve driving safety, traffic management improvement and reducing vehicles fuel consumption in I.R.IRAN. Following the primary researches, producing software applications and conducting experimental and field tests, the project is now in its pilot phase. By successful implementation of defined applications in the pilot, stakeholders’ cooperation has been obtained in order to prepare a road map for vehicular communication technology development in the country
