ChemInform Abstract: Reactivity of a Sc‐Si Bond Toward CO and CN(2,6‐Me2C6H3). Generation and Reactivity of an Apparent Silene Intermediate Resulting from Isocyanide Coupling at Scandium.
Abstract The reactions of the Sc silyl compound (I) with two equiv. CO (II) in benzene or two equiv. xylyl isocyanide (VII) producing (V) and (VIII) (space group P2 1 /c, Z=4), resp., reveal new chemical processes involving CO‐CO and CN‐Xyl‐CN‐Xyl coupling promoted by a d0 metal center.
