Abstract A chiral BINOL‐derived Cu(II) phosphate is successfully applied as catalyst in the asymmetric cycloisomerization—indole addition of α‐alkynylcyclohexenones (I) and (IV) to give indolyl‐substituted tetrahydrobenzofurans in good yields and stereoselectivities (up to 94% e.e.).
