Catalytic Antimony–Antimony Bond Formation through Stibinidene Elimination from Zirconocene and Hafnocene Complexes — Rory Waterman (2006) | RDL Network
Bringing together: Zirconium and hafnium d0 metallocene complexes catalyze the dehydrocoupling of the stibines MesSbH2 (Mes=mesityl) and dmpSbH2 (dmp=2,6-dimesitylphenyl) to Sb4Mes4 and (dmp)SbSb(dmp), respectively, with liberation of H2. Kinetic analysis shows that thermal decomposition of hafnium stibide complexes proceeds through α-hydrogen migration and stibinidene elimination.
