An Optimized New Metropolitan Area Network Architecture Design

Metropolitan Area Network generally is the network that provides various information services within a city. The traditional metropolitan area networks BRAS is faced with such problems as high cost of data access equipment, mismatch of control and forwarding capabilities, poor scalability, difficulty in management and operation, unbalanced resource utilization, high cost of capacity expansion, etc. Based on the analysis of the current situation of traditional MAN, a new VBRAS design framework for MAN was suggested in this paper. Firstly, based on the overview of design framework of Metropolitan Area Network, the New VBRAS framework of MAN was designed. Secondly, MAN core DC management architecture was analyzed. Finally, The basic planning of load balance, fault protection and Vxlan for MAN was made.
