NC-OFDM (Non-Contiguous Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing) is one kind of modulation technology for CR (Cognitive Radio) systems, it is widely used because of its significant advantages. However, the high PAPR (Peak-to-Average Power Ratio) is the main disadvantage at the transmitter in NC-OFDM system. With high PAPR, nonlinear distortion will be introduced. In this paper, an optimized PTS technique will be discussed. And this method bases on combining joint segmentation method and iterative search method. The simulation results show that the proposed method not only improves the PAPR performance and reduces the computational complexity of the system, but also has a better BER performance.
