Aggregation‐Induced Emission Research: 20 Years of Aggregation‐Induced Emission Research (Advanced Optical Materials 14/2020)

2020 marks the 20th anniversary of Aggregation-Induced Emission (AIE) research. The birth of AIE has gradually changed people's thinking about the aggregation of luminogens and put forth a revolution of luminogen research both conceptually and technically. This special issue has collected some recent advances in AIE molecular design and their applications in energy, electronic and biomedical fields (see Editorial, article number 2000855). The Editors hope this special issue sparks more inspirations in the AIE research.
