In most of the current underwater video transmission systems, video compression and transmission are usually designed separately. However, due to the complicated underwater acoustic channel condition, the existing video transmission schemes are not so effective and thus the performance is limited. In this paper, we develop an adaptive video transceiver design over underwater fading channels by coding the video data according to both video contents and channel conditions, and finding the optimal channel subspace matching and power allocation schemes. Our proposed scheme is tested and the effectiveness is validated.
