A study of electron donor—acceptor interaction in vapour phase by electron energy loss spectroscopy and UV photoelectron spectroscopy — Cnr Rao (1986) | RDL Network
The Diethylether—iodine electron donor—acceptor (EDA) complex has been investigated by the combined use of electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) and UV photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS). The charge-transfer band in the EELS appears at 4.92 eV (252 nm). The energy levels of the donor, the acceptor and the EDA complex were obtained and the effect of electron donor-acceptor interaction on the vacuum UV bands of iodine was examined.
