A reduced complexity SNR estimator

This paper presents a novel reduced complexity SNR estimator, whose performances are comparable with the maximum-likelihood estimator while saving one half of the floating point multiplications and one third of the floating point sums. A detailed statistical description of the estimate, as well as simulation results, are provided. (4 pages)
