With the continuous development of power electronics technology, high-efficiency grid-tied inverters, such as full MOSFET-switches-based inverters, have been increasingly used. In future practical applications, the reactive power injection capability of the grid-tied inverter is often required to compensate the voltage drop of the electric grid. Therefore, it is of great significance to develop a MOSFET-switches-based inverter that can provide reactive power support for the power grid. Based on the traditional Aalborg inverter, this paper proposes a new topology with the capability of reactive power injection. The principle of the proposed inverter is introduced through the equivalent circuits in details. Finally, simulation is carried out to verify the satisfactory performance of the proposed inverter.
