For a successful industrial edge network implementation, data services must provide real-time capabilities to the end users of industrial automation applications. Caching strategies might be beneficial to improve the overall latency, yet they are not common in industrial networks. In this paper, industrial traffic is defined using a SNM model, taking into consideration that content popularity dynamically changes as control tasks are update via the industrial applications. We then propose a new cache replacement algorithm with a dynamic aging threshold. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
