This chapter presents delaminated zeolites as active catalysts for processing large molecules. Zeolite nanolayers have been obtained by delaminating the the lamellar precursors of four zeolites. These materials present very high well-structured external surface areas larger than 600 m2.g-1. Catalytic active sites can be introduced during the synthesis or by postsynthesis treatments, yielding active and selective catalysts for processing large-size molecules of interest in oil refining and for the production of fine chemicals.
