As an example of the use of the analytical formulas derived for electric multipole moment integrals over STOs in our previous work (I.I. Guseinov, et al., J. Mol. Struct. (Theochem) 465 (1999) 5), the -pole electric moments have been calculated for the ground electronic states of LiH, BH and FH of the first-row diatomic hydride molecules. Calculated electric multipole moment values are in agreement with literatures. By the use of these analytical formulas the -pole moments for multiatomic molecules can be evaluated most efficiently and accurately by employing STOs as basis sets.
Abstract The modified overlap and nuclear‐attraction integrals over Slater‐type orbitals are calculated for extremely large quantum numbers using Gegenbauer coefficients and basic overlap integrals. The accuracy of the results is quite high for the principal quantum numbers of Slater functions and for arbitrary values of internuclear distances and screening constants of atomic orbitals. © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. This research aimed to examine the science attitudes of gifted students attending the science and art centers (SAC) in Turkey depending on variables such as gender of students, their fields of education, classroom level and the education levels of their families. The test of science related attitudes (TOSRA), developed by Fraser (1978), simplified by Chaerul (2002) and translated into Turkish and the validity and reliability of which were studied by Curebal (2004), was used in the research. It was observed that there was no statistical difference between the science attitudes of students and the above-mentioned variables. A general analysis of the obtained results was performed comparatively with the studies at national and international levels. In line with the results, a discussion was made on what could be done particularly regarding the science and technology instruction of students at SACs which were developed as a suitable model for country conditions. In this study, two-center overlap integrals over Slater-type orbitals (STOs) with integer and noninteger principal quantum numbers in unaligned coordinate systems have been calculated using formulas for overlap integrals in aligned coordinate systems obtained by the author's previous work (T. Özdoǧan and M. Orbay, Int. J. Quant. Chem. 87 (2002) 15). The obtained results for integer case have been found to be in excellent agreement with the prior literature. On the other hand, to the best of authors knowledge, because of the scarcity of the literatures on the use of noninteger n-STOs in unaligned coordinate systems, the results for noninteger case have been tested with the limit of integer case, and good agreement has been obtained too.
Abstract The aim of this study was threefold. First, it analyzed the characteristics of the publication outputs for the Legal Medicine (LM) category using the Web of Science (WoS) database during 2011–2020. Second, it discussed the distribution of the papers for the 25 most productive countries/regions in terms of quality and quantity, such as the h-index and GDP per capita. Finally, it investigated the trend and temporal stability of the journal impact factor (JIF) and determined the percentage of the journal self-citations. The findings suggested that the number of papers, the average number of pages of the papers, the average number of cited references in the papers, the average number of authors per paper, the percentage of open access papers, as well as international and domestic collaboration tended to increase regularly. However, the productivity was limited when compared to the whole WoS database, since there was no significant change in the number of the journals. The countries/regions with the highest number of publications were not those that made the most impact in terms of the widespread impact of the publications. The level of international cooperation and the funding for the research had dramatic impact on the visibility of papers. The average JIF has increased significantly while the journal self-citation rates have decreased in a similar way. The journals have had very stable (have not fluctuated) impact factors over time. During the period studied, the journals with the higher impact factors (Q1, Q2) published many more papers than journals with the lower impact factors (Q3, Q4).
In our previous work (Indian J Phys., 93(9):1113-1122 (2019)), utilizing Density Functional Theory (DFT), some essential properties of 3-Amino-4-(Boc-amino) pyridine (Henceforth referred to as the analyzed molecule) were investigated, including its molecular geometry, electronic properties, vibrational frequencies, and nonlinear optical performance. In this study, the molecular docking study is also carried out to investigate protein-ligand interactions between the analyzed molecule and the target protein amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The findings shows that the lowest binding energy for the analyzed molecule is -5.25 Kcal/mol. By depending on docking results, the analyzed molecule could be an effective drug candidate for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Abstract In this paper, semisimple semigroups, duo semigroups, right (left) zero semigroups, right (left) simple semigroups, semilattice of left (right) simple semigroups, semilattice of left (right) groups and semilattice of groups are characterized in terms of soft intersection semigroups, soft intersection ideals of semigroups. Moreover, soft normal semigroups are defined and some characterizations of semigroups with soft normality are given.
This paper provides a theoretical investigation of the OR-product (∨-product) in soft set theory, an operation of central importance for handling uncertainty in decision-making. A comprehensive algebraic analysis is carried out with respect to various types of subsets and equalities, with particular emphasis on M-subset and M-equality, which represent the strictest forms of subsethood and equality. This framework reveals intrinsic algebraic symmetries, particularly in commutativity, associativity, and idempotency, which enrich the structural understanding of soft set theory. In addition, certain missing results on OR-products in the literature are completed, and our findings are systematically compared with existing ones, ensuring a more rigorous theoretical framework. A central contribution of this study is the demonstration that the collection of all soft sets over a universe, equipped with a restricted/extended intersection and the OR-product, forms a commutative hemiring with identity under soft L-equality. This structural result situates the OR-product within one of the most fundamental algebraic frameworks, connecting soft set theory with broader areas of algebra. To illustrate its practical relevance, the int-uni decision-making method on the OR-product is applied to a pilot recruitment case, showing how theoretical insights can support fair and transparent multi-criteria decision-making under uncertainty. From an applied perspective, these findings embody a form of symmetry in decision-making, ensuring fairness and balanced evaluation among multiple decision-makers. By bridging abstract algebraic development with concrete decision-making applications, the results affirm the dual significance of the OR-product—strengthening the theoretical framework of soft set theory while also providing a viable methodology for applied decision-making contexts.
International Journal of Assessment Tools in Education (IJATE) is one of the educational journals that is indexed in major worldwide databases such as Web of Science (WoS) and ERIC. This study presents the bibliometric characteristics of articles published in IJATE between 2014 and 2021 through the bibliometric analyses. Harzing's “Publish or Perish software” was used to collect citation data from WoS and Google Scholar databases as a tool to analyze the impact of articles. Firstly, when contributing institutions are analyzed, especially in recent, it is seen that researchers from countries such as France and Kuwait have been contributing to the journal with publications produced through international collaboration. Moreover, when the average citation numbers per article is calculated, it is understood that Australia (13) and Canada (3.5) are the countries that contribute significantly to the visibility of the journal. Such a trend will contribute significantly to the international recognition of the journal soon. On the other hand, there is a statistically significant positive relationship (r=0.339; p<0.01) between usage count and the number of citations by WoS. Our results reveal that while the number of references used in the articles was in consistent with the literature, the average article title lengths (12±3) were slightly longer than the ideal length (10±3). The results will provide important contributions to editors, reviewers, and authors in the journey of IJATE from local to global. The findings can guide authors, the editors and referees and also serve as a potential roadmap for the future studies and journal.
In this paper, the symmetry properties of linear combination coefficients for molecular orbitals of diatomic molecules, using Slater type orbitals, are presented with the help of the symmetry operations in group theory. In order to test the presented symmetry properties, the linear combination coefficients of molecular orbitals for the ground electronic state of pilot molecules F2 and CO are calculated using constructed computer programs for Hartree-Fock-Roothaan equation. It is seen that the obtained computing results satisfy the presented symmetry properties.
